Hello ETA, I am Darryl Parson – the 2008 ETA Chairman, and our theme was “On the Shoulders of Giants.” Professionally, I am a Senior Legal Counsel for Delaware Technical and Community College. My practice includes contract review, human resources, litigation, and employee and student rights. Before Del Tech, I served as Deputy Attorney General within the Delaware Department of Justice. My “client” was the Delaware Department of Education. Previously, I served in the DOJ’s Criminal Division, prosecuting misdemeanor cases, including assaults, narcotics possession, DUI, and motor vehicle offenses.

I began my legal career with large, international firms, which provided excellent legal training and invaluable experience. I am the current President of the Delaware Barristers Association; a Life Member of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc.; a member of Sigma Pi Phi Fraternity, Inc., ., Beta Eta Boulé, and Star in the East Lodge #1, PHA. I am a proud graduate of Wilmington’s Salesianum School, Harvard University, and Columbia University School of Law. Most importantly, I have a son ready to graduate from the University of Notre Dame.
